Soraya Jaber’s Childhood and Formation

Soraya Jaber was born on 29 July 1995 in Bondy, France, to a Moroccan father and a French mother. Passionate about art and history from an early age, she obtained a scientific baccalaureate with an option in art history.

She continued her studies at the University Paris 1-Sorbonne, where she undertook a bachelor’s degree in art history, before choosing to embark on entrepreneurship and technology.

Opuscope: A vision transformed into reality

At the age of 19, in 2015, Soraya Jaber and her best friend, Tina Nigro, founded the startup Opuscope. Their ambition is to make art and history accessible to the general public through augmented reality.

A year later, they created the Minsar Studio software, a unique platform for creating immersive experiences without the need for complex computer codes.

Opuscope’s innovation is attracting the attention of Microsoft, which is allowing the start-up to use its Hololens mixed reality glasses to develop Minsar Studio.

Subsequently, the software’s compatibility extends to various platforms, including Magic Leap, Android and iOS.

Between 2017 and 2019, Opuscope carried out three fundraising activities worth more than €3.7 million, enabling the company to accelerate the development of Minsar Studio.

An engaged and influential entrepreneur

In addition to running an innovative technology company, Soraya Jaber is a strong advocate for diversity and inclusion. She is a mentor in various programs to encourage women’s involvement in the world of technology, including the Sista X Bold program. She is also dedicated to issues of LGBT inclusion in the business community.

Soraya has been repeatedly recognized for her achievements. In 2019, she was one of 15 semi-finalists for the Madame Figaro magazine’s Business with Attitude award.

In 2021, she was named one of the 30 most influential people under the age of 30 by Vanity Fair and was named one of the “ten French Tech women to follow” by the Sista collective.

Her commitment, leadership and forward-thinking vision make Soraya a key figure in the technological world and an inspiration for young entrepreneurs around the world.
