Originally from the south of France, Matthieu Blanchard is now a resident of the nomadic world. Its base camps are located between Canada and France. An engineer by training, he is passionate about outdoor activities, adventures and great challenges.
After several years exploring the oceans as a diving instructor, enjoying the adrenaline in several sports such as BMX, snowboarding and kitesurfing, he discovered running in 2014 a few times after having settled in Quebec.
In 2016, he fell in love again, since his passion will be more particularly for trail running (trail-running). He will be selected to participate in the Salomon Ultra Running Academy in March 2017 in the United States, and he takes this opportunity to specialize in Ultra-Trail formats.
Overflowing with energy, determined and passionate, scuba diving and trail running bring him to various horizons, allow him to flourish in an authentic community, and especially push him to question me on the relationship of the human with nature…
