With a dual education in Philosophy and Human Resources, Julia de Funès began her journey as a headhunter before returning to her initial passion, philosophy. In 2010, she created her own consulting firm to support companies with her original and quirky outlook.
Julia de Funès defends with the leaders what she calls “free enterprise”. She has written several books to denounce the managerial practices of companies. In 2017, she published “Socrates in the land of process” (inspired by her professional experience as a headhunter) and, in 2018, La comédie (in) humaine, how companies scare away the best, co-writes Nicolas Bouzou.
For the philosopher and economist, it is urgent to let employees freely express their critical intelligence and give meaning to their work. Julia de Funès also addresses the general public through her media interventions.
She tries to make everyone understand how philosophy allows us to question our received ideas. It is also about challenging our convictions, our reasoning, our behavior. But also to decipher with a fresh glance the stakes of the business world. Julia de Funès published “Coup de philo” on received ideas and created and presented the daily program “Happiness according to Julia”, broadcast on France 5. She hosted a philosophy column on BFM business as part of the program Club Media RH.
