Elie Cohen is a graduate of the IEP Paris (economic and financial section) and holds a doctorate in Management.
He was a student researcher at the École des Mines and then a research fellow at the Centre de sociologie de l’innovation de l’École des Mines. He then joined the CNRS as Director of Research at the Groupe d’analyse des politiques publiques.
As a lecturer and then as a professor, Elie Cohen taught at the IEP (macroeconomics, microeconomics, public economics, public policy, public management), at the ENS Ulm (sociology of organisations), at the ENA (industrial economics), at Harvard (political economy) and at the Collège des Ingénieurs (industrial and financial strategies).
Author of numerous articles in scientific journals, Elie Cohen has published several books on industrial economics and public policy, including Qui gouverne les groupes industriels, Les grandes man’uvres industrielles, l’État brancardier, Le colbertisme hi-tech : économie du grand projet des Télécom, La tentation hexagonale : la souveraineté à l’épreuve de la mondialisation and Service public, secteur public.
